This blog will focus primarily on the intersection of technology and business as well as other topics that I find interesting.

I’m a New England based Technology and Business professional with an MBA from Babson College focusing on Entrepreneurship currently working as an Account Technology Strategist with Microsoft. Previously I’ve worked for a variety of companies ranging from startups to Fortune 100 companies.  Previously I’ve been:  manager of a team of pre-sales consulting engineers, an IT Manager, a Navy Electronics Technician on a nuclear submarine, a substitute teacher in the public schools, a graphic designer for NASA and a photojournalist just to mention a few of my previous occupations.  My undergraduate degrees are in Journalism and Philosophy from the University of Missouri – Columbia. My interests and activities are varied and include, but are not limited to: Business, Technology, learning spoken and written Mandarin Chinese, Chinese history and culture, Rugby (coaching and playing), organic gardening, good food, photography, triathlons, movies, and most of all, my family.

    Thom, it is always a pleasure to see someone following their passion. I recently joined the Mizzou alumni group (again) and saw your post for the ABC’s. Keep up the good work. We all need to be reminded of these logical things. Often, though, we forget one or two (or three) of them. A lot of coaching is about that – thanks!
