A little over one year ago, I finished up my final coursework for my MBA from Babson College. The program I completed was the Fast Track MBA. For two years, I was part of a cohort of 88 classmates who met face-to-face every six weeks on Fridays and Saturdays, while also completing weekly assignments, discussions and attending lectures online. On average I spent about 20 hours a week studying and fulfilling the requirements for the Babson Fast Track MBA, while continuing to spend my normal 50+ plus hours a week working full-time.

What is surprising to me is the apparent surprise everyone is claiming to have about it. “Who could have known?” I’ll tell you who could have known – the millions of buyers of cars made by Toyota, Honda, VW, BMW, et al.
It’s graduation season once again. Almost everyone has either sat in a graduation audience or has earned the privilege to be a graduate of some institution somewhere be it high school or college, frequently both. Every ceremony has the requisite program that everyone picks up, so they have something to read while waiting, containing the names of those who will receive honorary degrees, what students will be giving speeches and which students have earned honors.
